MY EVENING AT THE BODYSHOP

What We Did
Most people who know me know I have a soft spot for The Bodyshop. SO, when The Bournemouth Bloggers asked me to attend an event at the local Bodyshop, I had to say yes!
Me and @Marbleousfood were greeted with a glass of prosecco and a warm welcome.
Having dry skin and under-eye bags I was on the search for the best products for me to get me through the cold winter. With the help of the lovely staff at the Bournemouth BodyShop (@beachsidebeautiful.x) I left with the ‘Youth Bouncy Eye Mask’ from the Drops of Youth range to help with my under eye bags and the Almond and Honey body yoghurt for my dry skin after I’ve showered and because it just smells so good! I treated myself to a new coconut bath bubble and from the ‘Vanilla Pumpkin’ limited edition range for October I got the hand cream which smells so good I want to eat it.
We also got a goodie bag which I was very excited about! Along with lots of little testers from different ranges like the Oils of Life range, I also got a ‘Forever Against Animal Testing’ wash bag to keep all my new products in. The goodie which I’m most excited about is the ‘Youth Concentrate’ from the Drops of Youth range. Before this event I hadn’t used the range but since using it I would highly recommend it. It’s helped my skin stay hydrated and looks a lot less fatigued.

Why I Love The Bodyshop
I think the obvious reason to love the company is because its work to fight against animal testing and using fair trade ingredients. I think it’s something that should be getting a lot more coverage and attention in the media. Also, a little fact; The Bodyshop was founded in the small town that I’m from, Littlehampton, where Anita Roddick, the CEO, is from. She’s a bit of a local celebrity. The products are always of a high quality and do what they say on the tin and as I said before they smell SO GOOD!!

My Favourite Products

Along with the products from the Drops Of Youth range, my favourite skin care range is the Vitamin E one. My New Years Resolution from last December was to look after my skin. So, Ive been using the Vitamin E cleanser, toner and the intense moisture cream for dry skin everyday. I then also use the sleep in moisture mask when my skin is particularly dry. And, since I’ve been using my skin products regularly my dry, flaky skin has barely been a problem! Just search ‘dry skin’ on The Bodyshop website it will give you the best products for dry skin. (You can do this for any of the skin types!).
In the shower I use the body exfoliants, at the moment I have the raspberry one (which looks, feels and smells like raspberry jam, as they use raspberry seeds as the scrub), the peach one and the blueberry one. These scrubs are perfect to prep your skin before fake tanning to get rid of any dry skin and help to get it off when it starts to go patchy. In the shower I then use one of the hundreds of shower gels I have and when I get out I use one of the body butters or body yoghurts. My skin always smells and feels so good and fresh. I’m also so excited to try the new shampoo and conditioners and then I will have the full set and my life will feel complete!
